Resources I Wouldn’t Want to do Without

Start Blogging Today

The membership site that got me going was Sherman Hu’s WordPress Tutorial site.

He taught me how to work with WordPress and helped me create my first web site. He is constantly adding new tutorial videos. If you are using Wordpress and wondering how to make it do what you want, you need a membership to Sherman’s site.

Great Hosting and Tools - And now they create one webiste a month for members!

Authority Site Center has gone through a total revamp late last year. They have added services and training that more than justifies the monthly fee. Considering all they give their members, the fee is incredibly low.

Just before Thanksgiving 2006 they announced the latest - they will now build every member one Wordpress blog a month! That includes installation of ContentPress that automatically adds content to the blog, installation of Pheedpress that produces RSS feeds of your site, and more. Now there is no reason not to have a bunch of authority sites online making you money.

Submit Your Articles to Hundreds of Article Directories

For a minimal fee you can have your articles submitted to hundreds of article directories with a push of a button using SubmitYourArticle.com. This is a great way to increase traffic and backlinks to your site. And now they even provide an option to create multiple variations of your article for even better traffic results.

Improving Your Traffic with RSS Feeds

PheedPress is probably the most powerful tool that Authority Site Center provides. It creates RSS feeds for your site that people can put on their web sites, giving you lots and lots of extra traffic.

RSS Submit takes those RSS feeds and sends them out to over 65 sites to greatly increase the amount of people who see your RSS feeds.

These products are what I consider to be the basics for making money online. Bare bones, for those people just starting out and who have just a few dollars a month to invest in any education or hosting, would include a Hostgator reseller account and a membership to Sherman Hu’s Wordpress Tutorials. That will at least teach you how to work with WordPress.

But you need so much more training, such as how to choose a good domain name, how to get traffic, how to monetize your site, how to set it up for the search engines and how to set it up for the visitors, and how to read your stats. It’s possible to get that education reading free blogs, but as far as I know the experts all save the good stuff for their paid membership sites.

Jimmy D. Brown has a membership site that only costs $10 a month and is focused on teaching traffic and list building, two very important topics. If you can’t afford any other membership site, at least join Jimmy D. Brown’s List and Traffic membership site for a measely $10 a month, the cost of a couple cups of coffee.
